Just about the only other forum to seek such companionship appears to be the various 'social media' (facebook and the like) which I do not subscribe to and distrust and thus this posting was very much a last resort as I am not very sociably active in other ways.
As for my request for a lady I think it is from the wonderful girls I have had in my life from my wife, daughter, cousin and workmates who have demonstrated their compassion and regard for those who need it!Ruralhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11814103548500393628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4913881220677987797.post-4966249537131921182022-08-25T15:12:07.540-04:002022-08-25T15:12:07.540-04:00Hi!

I think people are apprehensive to enter into an arrangement like the one you’re providing, largely due to the safety aspects and what your motives may be.

We live in a world where everyday on the news or social media there’s a reported sexual assault/predator, homicide, beatings etc.. It’s in peoples nature to immediately label people/situations as good or bad and blindly trusting someone you don’t know, especially in a secluded/rural area, seems like an unsafe choice to make.

I think, especially, a woman would be extremely hesitant to move in with two unfamiliar men in order to provide “companionship”, it sounds antiquated/unconventional and a little off-putting. But, please do not take that personally, it is nothing to do with you, but the negativity in the world.

I’m not saying that you have ulterior motives or are a danger, I’m sure you and your son are wonderful people. And based on your posts, what you’re looking for seems innocent, plus what you’re providing is generous.

I do have a question, if you don’t mind: What is the reason you’re looking for specifically a female to move in, rather than a male?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4913881220677987797.post-89120877290234384242021-10-12T11:46:27.040-04:002021-10-12T11:46:27.040-04:00testtestRuralhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11814103548500393628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4913881220677987797.post-48024998570547892652019-04-27T22:40:08.596-04:002019-04-27T22:40:08.596-04:00Shaw Direct is planning to end its free TV service...Shaw Direct is planning to end its free TV service, the Local Television Satellite Solution (LTSS), after August 31, 2019. I was raised in rual ontario, and now live in the Niagara region. I have a very nice house with pool and two car detached garage. My children both have post graduate degrees and are reasonably well employed in the GTA. They have faint hope of buying a house. This is wrong. When I a couple of years out of university I bought a house in the GTA for 50 grand and the feds through in five. We need to get control of housing. The perfect example of two paths are Hong Kong, which is the path we are on now, and Singapore is the path we should have taken. Just like Norway took the correct national energy plan. So yes I am blaming others for making decisions which has left my family with poorer options.

In terms of Hati, how many billions have we spent there? Could we not just have bought land and set up co op farms? When I refer to container food, I refer to high tech led systems.

A basic container house with 1 kw power and battery should cost no more than $15,000. So suggest we pick someone to help. Shotgunning a couple of dollars all around the world accomplishes nothing. My whole life we have thrown money at the third world and all we see is nice shiny land rovers driven by the aid agency.

After we fix Hati then maybe El Salvador. But before we touch anyplace should we not fix our sovereign neighbours, the first nations of Canada.

Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14162783936999869984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4913881220677987797.post-37747914733748986622017-11-17T13:13:29.657-05:002017-11-17T13:13:29.657-05:00Having lived for many years on a gravel road I fin...Having lived for many years on a gravel road I find its not that bad provided it is graded once in a while and no large potholes develop, I have traveled on patched up paved roads that were worse! I think 50mbps is a very lofty goal, I'm currently at 10mbps and quite happy. I'd be more happy, and I'm sure many other rural dwellers would be as well, if the government could help fund the erection of more towers for line of site, as well as offer some sort of subsidy to help us rural dwellers erect a tower of our own. Forking out $2k wasn't easy for us, nor for most, but everyone assumes you have an internet connection as the whole world relies on the internet. Interestingly, our Chatsworth Taxpayers group just recently discussed your online blog idea - and we all seem to think it may be the future of our little newspaper, especially given its ease of two way conversations. I say this because we seem to launch our issues into a bit of a void... only rarely getting any feedback or community input. Although I'm starting to think that it may have some community value, there seems to be a rural reluctance to commit or offer opinions or ...something. It also seems to me that our hardcopy newsletter does well in those locations where a small stack is dropped off... like at the Williamsford Pie Company or Sidekicks. And wonder if switching to online would mean we would lose most of our casual readership. So as we struggle a bit in deciding upon a direction (including how to pay for it), let me thank YOU for your blog and all you do to advance the opinions of a forgotten minority.
